R.G. Taylor's love of comics and illustration extends back to his childhood, but in his early twenties he switched his focus to painting. He started producing comics on a professional level beginning with the critically acclaimed series WORDSMITH from Renegade Press - subsequently reprinted by Caliber Press comics. This was followed by the stylish espionage series SILENCERS. Further to these, he illustrated a series of good girl art books featuring a sophisticated and subtle approach and focusing on pop icons Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe.
In the nineties, Rick illustrated four issues of SANDMAN MYSTERY THEATER for Vertigo Comics. This year Rick left teaching to devote himself full-time to his art. He is a prolific watercolour artist and his work has been represented by NANCY POOLE'S GALLERY in Toronto, Canada.
